One week from NGA Mt. Rogers bodybuilding show
It’s exactly one week from the NGA Mt. Rogers bodybuilding show, and I’m not sure where I stand at this point. I’m sure to come in drier, but anything after that is between my chariot and the universe. I’m still pleased with my overall look though, and feel like I look healthy. I understand that’s not always the look the bodybuilding judges want, but my health and being injury free is what matters in the long run.
Speaking of, after this show, I plan to change my training with the addition of powerlifting when Josh and I train together. I’ve talked about it before, but have never done it because I’m afraid of getting injured. Josh already knows I can’t do squats, and that I must be careful with my iliotibial band. I won’t do anything crazy, and Josh will help me so I’m in good hands.
The plan is to put on a couple extra pounds of solid muscle so I can reduce cardio in the in-season. It’s so I don’t lose a butt load of muscle while dieting, as well. This was also recommended by MuscleWeek’s veteran hater Shane. Solid advice from two solid guys. Awesome and thanks!
Off season blogging
In the off-season, I’ve also decided to write my workout program in my blog everyday. It may not be anything more than exercises, but it will give people a clear view of my workout schedule. I get a lot of e-mails asking me what I do to “look this way.” I know in some cases, they don’t understand how hard I train, while others are curious about my actual workout and nutrition program. The nutrition is a completely different matter though.
