Easy like Sunday morning with a little tanning

I consider Sunday my light day because I do not use weights. This does not necessarily mean it’s easy, but this is my day to do cardio and posing. Today consisted of:

  • Side lunges
  • ball slams
  • oblique ball slams
  • side jumps
  • backward sprints (I can’t go fast so this does not irritate my IT band.)
  • step-ups with kick backs
  • knee to elbow abs (standing)
  • posing

30 minutes of cardio on my chariot, 40 minutes of training with a half an hour of posing. Whew! It was a killer.

I also tanned. I dislike tanning. I mean I really, really hate to tan, but there’s no way around it. With all the negative exposure (no pun intended),

This is an example of hypopigmentaion. Mine is on my right arm.

tanning does have one good benefit. It helps my eczema.  I suffer from it so badly during contest prep that there are days I am miserable from the itching and pain.

I have it on the back of my neck, scalp, my groin area and the inside of my butt-cheeks…YES, the inside of my cheeks. Can you imagine the strange looks I get when I scratch my arse in public?  Hahahaha…hahaha. I don’t care. It itches, but what is worse is the fiery burn when I sweat!

The tanning bed helps that. It has also helped the rash on my arm. The rash, the rash, and the rash- this booger has hung out since the first week of our family vacation in Georgia, which was nearly 10 weeks ago.

My sister-in-law and I took our kids to the public library. I had my arms piled high with books. Suddenly, my arms began to itch and I broke out in what looked like hives. Only, it got bigger. It was on both arms and my face. It itched like crazy. Although my face and left arm cleared up after three weeks, my right arm still had the rash. The rash was so severe that my arm is scarred from hypo-pigmentation, leaving blotched white skin.

Anyhow, the tanning bed cleared it up. The rash and itching are gone. Yahoo!
