Wild Chives: That Korean snuck up on me

For those who don’t know me personally I’m Amerasian. My ethnicity is Korean, Russian, Irish and Italian. I never knew this until I was well into my 20′s, and not until I met my biological father. However, because of my ethnicity, my life is enriched by my mother’s Eastern ways. Though it seems like we are teasing [in some cases we are lovingly so] my family can attribute so many of our journeys, thoughts and actions to my mom. So don’t take offense. Blog facelift: New site title and additional material

To keep this to the point: I have changed the name of this blog. It is now the fourth time. Although I still plan to write about competition prep I also plan to broaden the scope in…everything.  I wanted to write on an array of subjects before, but didn’t feel like the blog really allowed that.

Oddly, I have been applying to many of the job-types on this list, but I’m really lost these days.  Starting/changing a brand new career at this age scares the shiit.ake mushrooms out of me.

Here are the results. Continue reading

Spring vacation and fevers all around

So we’ve been out of the loop since my mother-in-law came into town.  We never have any schedule when we have family in town. However, it was a nice visit even though the kids were sick, and I was sick yesterday. I guess it’s a bug.

Anyhow, with the cold and allergies I’ve only worked out once this week. I don’t have the strength to.The truth is, my face hurts so badly from my allergies that I’m certain I have a sinus infection also. C’est la vie.  This is nothing new for me.
